Obituary
Jack W. Willis, Sr. age 88 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Apple Ridge Health & Rehab in Harrison.
The son of Nathan William Willis and Gladys V. (Carlton) Willis was born September 30, 1925 at Swain, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and in the Arkansas National Guard in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Georgana (Willis) Sanford and Arvie (Willis) Tharp.
Survivors are his son, Jack Willis, Jr. and wife, Terri of Harrison; a daughter, Juanita (Willis) Moore of Bentonville, Arkansas; a sister, Betty (Willis) Church of Harrison; the mother of his children, Christine (Willis) Cowdrey of Harrison; four grandchildren, Chris, Sara, Diana, and Mika; and one great-grandson, Wyatt.
There will be open visitation Friday, November 22, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Graveside service was Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Union Hill Cemetery at Parthenon, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were friends and family. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren, Dr. Blake Chitsey and Amanda Chitsey; and Apple Ridge Health & Rehab staff.
