Obituary

Jack Ross Stanley, of Harrison, passed away at his childhood home Friday afternoon, July 21, 2006 at the age 0f 66 after a brief battle with cancer. Mr. Stanley was born in Tonopah, Nevada on August 27, 1939 to Ralph G. and Lydia Ester Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William G. Stanley.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Mae Stanley of the home; two sons and their wives, Joe and Anita Stanley, and John and Shelly Stanley both of Midwest City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Billie Phifer and her husband, Galen of Harrison; seven grandsons, Jason and Angel Phifer of Harrison, Andy and Lindsay Phifer of Cape Girardeau, MO, Barry and Cherri Phifer of Harrison, Dana and Janina Stanley of Germany, Jeremy, Joseph and Joshua Stanley all of Midwest City, OK; One granddaughter, Bethany Roberts and husband, Stuart of Harrison; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob and Snowda Stanley of Big Pine, California, Lincoln and Pat Stanley of Bishop, California; 2 brothers-in-law, Marion and Vickie Newman of Zinc and F. L. Newman of Harrison along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Sgt. Stanley was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam and one during the Cuban Crises.
Memorial service was held at New Life Family Church at 808 N. Chestnut in Harrison on Tuesday, July 25th. Galen Phifer officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills, PO Box 1927, Harrison, AR 72602.
