Jack Lewis age 90, of Everton, passed away Friday at NARMC in Harrison. The son of Lee and Lois Audrey Lewis, was born July 17, 1917 at Marlow, OK.
He and his wife operated a store in Everton for many years and he delivered feed to the area farmers.He was a member of the Everton Methodist Church and a former City Council member of Everton. Jack also served as the superintendent of Eros Community Church. After retiring, Jack enjoyed playing Dominoes and eating pot-luck dinners at RSVP and the Methodist Church. In addition to this, he loved to fish and just spending time outdoors.
Jack will be remembered as a good friend to everyone.
His wife of 63 years, Johnnie Bea Lewis preceded him in death along with 2 brothers, Ollie Bascum Lewis and Malcolm Lewis; and one sister, Helen Marie.
Surviving are special friends, Peggy and Wayne Estes and Dorothy and James Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday, March 2, 2008 with service Monday, March 3, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home. Burial followed in Bruno Cemetery. Pastor Dave Smith officiated.
Pallbearers were Wayne Estes, Jason Estes, James Gibson, Allen Young, Rob Jones, Jay Fountain and Mike Fountain.
Honorary pallbearers were all Dominoes players of Everton and RSVP.
