Obituary

Jack E. Jennings, age 80 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Bristol Point/Hilltop Nursing Home in Harrison.

The son of Orville and Edna (Harper) Jennings was born March 21, 1929 at Hackett, Arkansas.

Jack has lived in this area since 1969, moving from Ft. Scott, Kansas and was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church. He and his wife, Maxine were past owners and operators of Jennings Advertising Agency. After selling the insurance company he worked for Coffman Funeral Home in Clinton and Harrison as a Funeral Director. He was a member of Harrison Masonic Lodge and was recognized this year for 50 years service.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine; a daughter, DeAnna Conner; a brother, Ralph Jennings; and a grandson, James Conner III.

Survivors are his son-in-law, Jim Conner and his fiance', Karen Long of Harrison; a grandson, Jimmy Conner and family of Harrison; niece, Linda Lea of Harrison; nephews, Larry Jennings of Clarksville and Mike Jennings of Locksburg, Arkansas; along with several great nephews and nieces.

Graveside service was Friday, October 23, 2009 at Maplewood Cemetery with Robert Shaddox officiating.

Viewing will be open from 10:00 AM to 12:30 on Friday.
