Jack Wayland Ayers, 84, of Yellville, AR, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at Countryside Assisted Living in Harrison, AR.

Jack was born on April 16, 1941, to Ben and Oleta (Atkins) Ayers in Itasca, TX. He attended Itasca High School followed by four years active duty in the US Navy and twenty-three years in Navy reserves. He later graduated from College of the Ozarks with a degree in elementary education.

He had a long-running and successful career as a Soil Conservationist at the Natural Resources Conservation Services.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Joe Weldon Ayers, James Allen Ayers, and Clifton Frank Ayers.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Anna Ayers, daughter Sabre Ayers Wright (Steve), granddaughter Aubrey Taylor Yocham. He was blessed with bonus grandchildren, Blake (Ashley) Wright, Caleb (Bry)Wright and Bailey (Jackson) Wright-Carlton, as well as great-grandchildren Aspen Wright, Rowyn Wright and Benny Wright. Memorial arrangements to be announced at a later date.

Cremation and arrangements are with Coffman Funeral Home.
