J.C. Henson, age 86 of Valley Springs, Arkansas, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 in Harrison.

He was born to Earn and Josie (Gentery) Henson on December 4, 1934 at Woolum in Searcy County, across from the Buffalo River in a small cabin by pecan trees.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda (Cole) Henson; three children, Julie (Mark) Piper, Johnny (Becky) Henson and Jill (Dale) Holsted, all of Harrison; two sisters, Betty Jo (Jim) Reddell of Valley Springs and Willodean Nichols of Harrison; one brother-in-law, Haskell (Mary) Cole of Arizona; three grandchildren, Jessica Holsted, Collean Henson and Corey Holsted; two step-grandchildren, Tyrel Piper and Matthew (Addi) Piper and a host of nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Jerry Nichols.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Holder Chapel at the Western Grove Cemetery with Rev. Dorvin Ricketts officiating.  There will be no visitation.

Pallbearers are Steve Reddell, Michael Reddell, Kenny Nichols, Glen Cole, Tommy Richardson and Corey Holsted.

Honorary pallbearers are Floyd Crow and Raymond Morris.
