Ivan Randolph Reynolds, Jr., age 72 of Jasper, AR, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at his home in Jasper.

The son of Ivan Randolph Reynolds, Sr. and Lillie Murrel (McBroom) Reynolds was born January 17, 1947 in San Jose, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ivan enjoyed playing cards with his friends and loved his job as a water operator.  He fell in love with Newton County when he went to Water School in Joplin, MO in 1972. His career goes from Jasper Water and Sewer to Dogpatch, U.S.A. Then onto Basin Valley Water, Mt. Sherman Water, and Mockingbird Hill Water, where he was the Chief Water Operator.  He became the plumbing inspector and worked with the utility crews, backhoe operators and the people of Newton County which became his family. We will all miss Ivan. Think of him when your water runs out.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Reynolds of the home and his brother, John Reynolds of Arizona.

A Celebration of Ivan's Life will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Ivan would like any donations to go to the Newton County Food Room.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
