Iva Imo Ricketts, age 87 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
The daughter of George and Barbara (Campbell) Martin was born October 20, 1924 at Vendor, Arkansas.
She was a housewife, farmer and a lifetime resident of Newton County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dave Ricketts; one son, David Ray Ricketts; two daughters, Josie Faye Stuart and Brenda Gaye Sullivan; a grandson, Timothy Ray Eddings; two great grandsons, Wesley Hayden Stuart and Tyler Keith Vancuren; four brothers, Jerry "Bud" Martin, James Martin, Paul Martin and Gerald Martin and six sisters, Daisy Ricketts, Tessie Shatwell, Gladys Covey, Alice McCormick, Adith Breedlove and Maxine Reynolds.
Survivors are one son, Denver Clay Ricketts and wife, Missy of Vilonia, AR; five daughters, Wanda Harrison of Jasper, AR, Linda Holt of Vendor, AR, Betty Arlene Knight and husband, Ed of Harrison, AR, Vickie Paul of Everton, AR and Diane Snelson and husband, John of Conway, AR; brothers, G.W. Martin of Western Grove, AR and Elgie Martin of Western Grove, AR; sister, Patsy Schmitt of Kansas City, MO; daughter-in-law, Rhilda Ricketts of Mt. Judea, AR; 17 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Bro. Nathan Middleton officiating. Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery at Vendor.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were all other grandchildren and staff and residents of Newton County Nursing Home.
