Obituary
Ishmel Freeman Carlton, age 86 of Nail, Arkansas passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.
He was born on January 15, 1926 at Murray, Arkansas the son of Mills and Viola (Neal) Carlton.
He was a timber worker and had lived most of his life in Newton County.
Ishmel was preceded in death by his father, Mills Carlton; mother, Viola Carlton; one son, Billy Carlton, one daughter, Tonya Parker and four brothers, George, James, Doy and Aldon Carlton.
Survivors are his wife, Johnia (Wilson) Carlton of Nail, Arkansas; three sons, David Carlton, Bobby Carlton and Jimmy Carlton all of Clarksville, Arkansas; three daughters, Jeana Breedlove of Rogers, Arkansas, Betty Palmer of Russellville, Arkansas and Tochia McCutcheon of Nail, Arkansas; one sister, Lucille Vaughn of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two brothers, Ford Carlton of Murray, Arkansas and John Carlton of Apolis, Kansas; twenty-one grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Kelly Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Nail Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Davis, James Davis, Kenny King, Arlis Woods, Joey McCutcheon and Rocky McCutcheon.
