Isabell Carter, age 97 of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. She was born November 23, 1909 at Witts Spring, the daughter of Mack and Katie B. (Watkins) Gregory. She lived most of her life in Searcy and Boone Counties, and attended the Missionary Baptist Church. Isabell was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed by all her family, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garfield Carter in 2001; one son, William Clyde Carter; two brothers; one sister and one grandson.
Those that survive her are three sons and their wives, J. Z. and Margie Carter of Valley Springs, Tom and Linda Carter of Valley Springs and Donald and Laverne Carter of Bergman; one daughter, Mary Lee Smith of Valley Spings; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five great-great granchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Carter was Thursday, with funeral service, Friday at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Dwight Crowley officiated. Burial followed at Silver Hill Cemetery in Searcy County.
Pallbearers were Paul Smith, Jim Methvin, Eddie Carter, Dale Reed, Chance Reed, and Ronald J. Carter. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Yancey, Austin Smith and Deuford Taylor.
