Obituary
Irene C. Johnson, age 86 of Wayton, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at her home.
The daughter of William Pate & Zora Belle (Burton) Taylor was born August 26, 1924 at Wayton, Arkansas.
Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and had lived in Newton County for 31 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eugene Michael Johnson and two brothers, Kenneth Taylor and Jerry Taylor.
Survivors are her husband, Ralph Harry Johnson of Wayton, Arkansas; two sons, Gary Johnson of Medicine Lodge, Kansas and Bryon Johnson of Jasper, Arkansas; four daughters, Barbara Faye Beagley of Jasper, Arkansas, Brenda Kay Voth of Arkansas City, Kansas, Bonnie Belle Boyle of Wayton, Arkansas and Teresa Lynn Johnson of Clinton, Arkansas; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Wayton Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Snow Cemetery at Wayton, Arkansas under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper, Arkansas. Visitation will be open during business hours at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Benjamin Boyle, Jon Voth, Dustin Somers, Dennis Boyle, Barbara Ann Crosby and John Crosby.
