Iola "Dub" M. Beauchamp Wills, of Valley Springs, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2017 at NARMC in Harrison at the age of 87.
The daughter of Lee and Violet (Graham) Beauchamp was born November 25, 1929 at St. Joe, Arkansas. She graduated from Valley Springs High School in 1948, and married the love of her life, Carl Wills on June 20, 1948. She and Carl moved to Nebraska and moved several times over the years, eventually moving back to Valley Springs in 1985 where she was a member of the Rally Hill Church and Olvey Bible Church.
Iola was active in her community, serving on the Valley Springs City Council, where she was instrumental in the development of the new city park. She was also a member of the Friendship Club and assisted Carl as he served as the president of the Arkansas Fiddlers Convention for 27 years.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and having them all together.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Carl D. Wills, two sisters, Margie Askew and Dorothy Campo, and a brother-in-law, Jack Swearingen.
Iola is survived by her husband of 69 years, Carl J. Wills of the home; two sons, Robert "Bob" W. Wills and wife, Pat of Hastings, NE and Jefferson "Jeff" A. Wills and wife Jean of Juniata, NE; 4 grandchildren, Kala Andersen, Alan Wills, Eric Wills, Evan Wills; 5 great grandchildren, Matthew, Emmett, Brooklyn, Eli and Brady; 3 step grandchildren, Randy Osman, Donna Hermansen and Robert Osman; 2 step great grandchildren, Garrett and Ryan; a sister-in-law, Vera Swearingen of Fort Collins, CO; and a special niece, Janell Swearingen of CO, and niece, Pat Askew Stokes of FL and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her and will miss her.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison, Arkansas with Bro. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation and musical tribute will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
Pallbearers are her Grandsons, Eric, Alan and Evan Wills and Loyce Saling, Brad Potter and Troy Harmon.
Honorary Pallbearers are Arkansas Fiddler's Convention Members, Nurses of NARMC ICU, Dr. Blake Chitsey and Rally Hill Church Members.
