IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ina Nora
Middleton
March 5, 1923 – July 26, 2023
Ina Nora Middleton passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Hillcrest Nursing Home at the age of 100.
She was born March 5, 1923, at Mt. Judea, AR, to George Washington Greenhaw and Ada Harp Greenhaw.
She had one brother, Osie Greenhaw; three sisters, Nima Martin, Frances Proctor, and Mildred Williams. She also had one half-sister, Merl Henson, and half-brother, Brice Greenhaw. She graduated from Mt. Judea and married Conard Middleton on February 4, 1943. She and Dad had three children, Connie Kimrey, Mike Middleton and Jeffrey Middleton.
Other than living in California and Kansas City, MO, for a few years, she was a lifelong resident of Newton County, AR. In her later years, she worked as an aide at Mt. Judea school and watched over Taylor & Bailey Hefley, whom she loved like her grandchildren. She loved to sew and quilt and have a garden and flowers. She and Dad were very close to Otto and Wilma Middleton (Dad's brother and sister-in-law). She made homemade candies every year around Christmas and shared them with her friends and family. She read her Bible daily and attended Mt. Judea Church of Christ (which her Grandpa started). She loved her grandchildren dearly and made many memories by taking them to Big Creek and sewing clothes for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings and her husband of 66 years, and her daughter, Connie Kimrey.
She is survived by her son, Mike and Connie of Harrison, her son, Jeffery of Jasper; her son-in-law Bill Kimrey of Broken Arrow, OK; her grandchildren, Michael Chad and Jeanette of Ozark, MO, Court Middleton of Harrison, Chris and Tammy Middleton of Harrison, Caley and John Cobb of Springdale, AR, and Sherry Kimrey and David Kimrey of Broken Arrow, OK. She had a much loved grandson, Josh Kimrey and his wife, Whitney. She had 15 great grandkids and 6 great-great grandkids.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Mount Judea Church of Christ. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 10 AM at the church.
Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery in Vendor.
