Idola Woodworth Myers, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab in Hollister, Missouri at the age of 87.
The daughter of Ausbin and Edith (Newberry) Allred was born April 25, 1930 at George, Arkansas.
She was a resident of this area most of her life. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Harrison and until recently, had been attending Batavia Assembly of God. She was a retired LPN from Boone County Special Services. Working until her late 70's, she retired to become a full time caregiver. She enjoyed antiquing, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Idola loved her family and her family was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Otis Burton Woodworth, her second husband, Charles Gordon Myers; two brothers, Boyd Allred and Loyd Allred; a sister, Freeda Gibbins and a son-in-law, Ronnie L. Bailey.
Idola is survived by two sons, Ronald Woodworth (Terrie) and Danny Woodworth (Terri) all of Alpena; two daughters, Joretta Bailey of Alpena and Melissa Cunningham (Chris) of Harrison; a sister-in-law, Agnes Woodworth of Compton; an aunt, Geraldine Newberry of Green Forest; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Bailey and Rev. Phillip Collie II, officiating. Burial will follow at Alpena Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Richie Woodworth, Lance Woodworth, Shannon Bailey, Scott Bailey, Chris Flippo and Trevor Woodworth.
Honorary pallbearers are Taylor Woodworth, Derrick Bailey, Donnie Gibbins, Jack Newberry and Jim Newberry.
