Ida Ruth Cash, age 95, of St. Joe, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Hillcrest Home.
The daughter of R.P. Killion and Ida Adeline (Williams) Killion was born in Gilbert, Arkansas on February 19, 1930.
Ruth was a lifelong resident of Searcy County and had worked as a schoolteacher at Snowball and St. Joe for 15 years, teaching 3rd grade and HeadStart. She was a longtime, faithful member of Gilbert Christian Church, playing the piano until May of 2024.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, and reading. She was actively involved in the Searcy County Fair and NWA District Fair for years, entering exhibits displaying her sewing, baking, and gardening skills, as well as judging exhibits.
Ruth was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Troy Cash; her sister, Esther Bing, and her brother, Ben Killion.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Bernita Cash and Bonnie (Jerry) Jones; two grandchildren, Jennifer Jones and Aaron (Iasmim) Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be at 2 PM Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Gilbert Christian Church with Bro. Charlie Bing officiating.
Burial will follow in Love Cemetery at St. Joe under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Mark Bing, Jerry Jones, Aaron Jones, Lonnie Joe Eddings, Tyler Shellnut, and Nathan Bing.
Honorary pallbearers are Diane Shellnut and Michael Bing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Love Cemetery Fund, PO Box 56, St. Joe, AR, 72675 or Gilbert Christian Church.
