Obituary
Hugh Gary Adams, age 74 of St. Joe, Arkansas passed away Saturday, February 9, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
The son of Hugh E. and Olsie (Davenport) Adams was born November 1, 1938 at Tomahawk Creek, Arkansas.
Gary was a lifelong resident of St. Joe where he taught Science and Agriculture, he also worked for Farm Home Administration and later raised cattle on his beautiful farm near the Buffalo River.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Adams of the home; his son, Van Adams and wife Chrissy of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his step-children, Sandi Long of St. Joe, Arkansas and Michael Kendrick and wife Sarah of Marshall, Arkansas; one grandson, Adrian Adams; three step-grandsons, Will Basor, Ian Parks and Dylan Kendrick. He is also survived by two sisters, Jo Ann Dean and Betty Fisk.
Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
There was a memorial service Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Adrian Adams college fund.
