Huey Hicks, age 86 of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

He was born September 22, 1935 in Calico Rock, AR. Son of John H. "Ferd" Hicks & Leona Jones Hicks Massey.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Homer & Charles Hicks; 2 sisters, Ruby Wrenfrow and infant; a son, Thomas M. Hicks; daughter-in-law, Cindy L. Hicks; and grandsons, Jimmy Lynn Hicks, Steven Hicks and Scott Hicks.

Huey is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruby Napier Hicks; children, Mona Berry (Donald), Sandra Royce (Cecil), Joe Hicks and Sam Hicks; grandchildren, Jesse Hicks (Jessica), Mary Jones (AJ), Emmi Durant (AJ), Brandy Ohler (Ronnie), Christina Henry (Chris), Whitney Stewart and fiancé Jimmy Ray, Donald Berry (Lyndsey) and Ronnie Berry (Kelsey); 19 great grandchildren and many other precious family and friends.

Huey loved life and enjoyed stories from the old days. In his healthier days he enjoyed fishing, hunting and driving the golf kart to feed the pond fish. Fathers become grandfathers and are a large part of the foundation of our lives. They teach us history about the world around us and where we came from. They mold us into our best self. They are forever loving, forgiving and the one asset that is truly irreplaceable.  I'll tell everyone … like my father once told my mother.. he was a Beautiful Dreamer.

Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Denning Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM - 7 PM at the funeral home.
