Howard Hicks, age 71 of Harrison passed away Sunday June 13, 2010 at his home.
The son of Lex and Virgie (Flippo) Hicks was born September 25, 1938 in Parthenon, Arkansas.
He loved to fix things and loved doing things for others. He enjoyed gardening and playing music with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Arlis Hicks.
Howard Hicks is survived by his wife Barbara Hicks of the home; two daughters, Debbie Berry and husband John of Harrison and Lisa Honeycutt of Harrison; a son, David Hicks of Kirbyville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Wes Berry, Collin Honeycutt, Mallory Honeycutt, and Casey Hicks; great grandchildren, Jessie and Shawn Wiseman; his sisters, Alice Renfroe and husband J.R., Sharon Taylor and husband James, Brenda Bogue and husband Richard; a brother, Harold Hicks and wife Rayanna; An aunt, Ruby Garrett; and uncle, Boyd Flippo and his wife, Doris; many neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Funeral Service was Wednesday, June 16, 2010 both at Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Tollie Sutterfield officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charlie Marshall, Donnie Daniels, Phillip Newberry, David Shockley, Craig Hicks, Randy Stull, Gary Larimer and Henry Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers were J.R. Renfroe, Harold Hicks, James Taylor, Richard Bogue, The employees of Miller Hardware, Jerry Davis, Lee Cox, Mark Williams, Henry Burrell and Buck Hayes.
