Hobert Lee Dotson, age 75 of Pelsor, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 at his home. He was born April 25, 1932, at Mt. Judea, Arkansas, the son of Haze nd Parlee (Sexton) Dotson. Hobert was a farmer and owned his own construction company for many years. A lifetime resident of Newton County, he was an avid supporter of the Deer School. Hobert was married to Nellie Francis Bower on Dec. 25, 1955 at Vendor by Rev. Caney Boling.

His parents; a brother, Sam Dotson and a sister, Minnie Spears all preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Nellie Francis Dotson of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Rick Napier of Pelsor; a sister, Molly Freeman of Pelsor; two grandchildren, Braden and Brittany James of Pelsor and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Service followed Monday, January 21, 2008 at the Deer School Gymnasium with Stan Taylor and David Faught officiating. Burial was in the Cowell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harold Freeman, Jimmy Dotson, David Dotson, Randy Dotson, Michael Dotson, Jimmy Reddell and D. J. Buxton.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Robert Thurlby, Clinton Daniels, Robert Humphrey, Jim Holt, Jerry Jones, Eddie Jones and Phillip Campbell.
