Obituary
Hershel Leon Rose, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at Mount Vista Rehab and Health at the age of 87.
The son of Bert and Willie Rae (Treece) Rose was born September 1, 1929 at Harriett, Arkansas.
He was a lifelong resident of Boone and Searcy County and a veteran of the US Air Force. He loved to go to the casino, go fishing and playing pool, winning many trophies.
He spent many years at the courthouse whittling and visiting with friends. Hershel wanted the best for his family and was very passionate in his beliefs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bennie Jo Rose.
Hershel is survived by two sons, Robert Rose and wife Diana of Harrison; David Rose of San Francisco, California; a sister, Johnnie Engles of Ottowa, Kansas; one granddaughter, Kristin Morgan; one great grandson, Keegan Morgan and numerous cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Canaan Cemetery in Marshall.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
