Herbert Troy McKinney, age 79 of Harrison, AR departed this life Sunday, January 22, 2012 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, MO. with his family by his side.

He was born March 14, 1932 a son of Troy and Luvena (Still) McKinney.

Herbert was known as "The Fruit Man" and never met a stranger. He was the nicest man, with the biggest heart. He was always going and enjoyed his fruit stand, farms and cattle very much. He enjoyed his walks with his beloved dog, Chico, taking him everywhere. Until he became ill, he was an active member of Northside Church of Christ since 1989.

On September 7, 1950, 61 years ago, he married his lifetime soulmate, Eula (Hudson) McKinney, whom survives him.

He is also survived by two sons, Ronnie McKinney and Dennis McKinney and a daughter, Deanna Dilts, all of Harrison; grandchildren, Stephania Dilts-Keys; Shane, Cody, Misty, Megan, Christy, Crystal, Kevin, Calvin, and Curtis; eleven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Hubert McKinney of Tieton, WA and Everett McKinney of Singapore.

He was preceded in death his parents; a son, Jim McKinney; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Herbert was the "Greatest Man I Ever Knew" - your family.

Visitation was Thursday, January 26, 2012 with funeral service Friday, January 27, 2012, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Burial followed in Anderson Flat Cemetery near Pindall with pallbearers being Bob Cooper, Don Guthrie, R. J. Keys, Solomon Watts, DeWayne McNeil, and Kevin McKinney. Honorary pallbearers are Saige Keys, Jim Surett, Archie Still, and Bill Rogers.
