Henry Oran Wilson, age 86 of Alpena, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his home.
The son of Rufus Eugene and Gladys Henrietta (Beaver) Wilson was born February 2, 1927 in Parthenon, Arkansas.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII as an infantry man. Upon leaving the service he worked in Construction, operating heavy machinery. Later in his life, he settled his family in Alpena and pursued woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Iris (Pruitt) Wilson; his parents; three sisters; one brother; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Robert Baker; a daughter, Beverly Carnegie; a son, Michael Wilson; and a grandson, John Getman.
Survivors are three sons, Carl Wilson and wife, Carol of Alpena, Daniel Wilson of Truman, Arkansas and Oran Getman of Omaha, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Jeanine Wilson of Batavia, Arkansas; one sister, Eulla Smith of Oregon; 16 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many great friends.
Visitation was. Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Graveside service was Friday, April 19, 2013 at Dog Branch Cemetery near Alpena, Arkansas with Donald Brown officiating.
Pallbearers were Oran Getman, Michael Daniels, John Wilson, Bryan Marshall, Brad Lemley, and Jody Marshall.
Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Snider, Hunter Wilson and Chantel Sumline.
