Henry Newton "Hank" Bristow, Jr., of Valley Springs, departed from this life Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the age of 60.

The son of Henry Newton Bristow, Sr., and Geneva (Mackey) Bristow was born January 4, 1957 in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Hank proudly served his country in the US Army, 23 years, 7 months and 19 days as a combat engineer, retiring as a Staff Sergeant.  He served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

He loved fishing and sports.  He was always helping people and put their needs ahead of his.  He loved attending church at First Baptist Church of Valley Springs and serving in their food pantry.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Nina Mackey and Sterling and Bethlene Bristow; his father, Henry Bristow, Sr., and his father and mother-in-law, Denver and Dallis Duncan.

Hank is survived by his wife Darlene Bristow of 22 years, of Valley Springs; children, Michael and Jenny Duncan of Washington; Jenny and Tait Bailey of Lead Hill; and Angela Stacy of Fort Smith; his mother, Geneva Bristow; sisters, Lynne Townsend, Yvonne Piper and Dawn Tiamson all of Florida; and many others that loved him.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Valley Springs.
