Helen Curtis Sams, of Harrison, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Hospice of the Hills House.  She was 92 years old.

The daughter of Roy David and Sue (Blackburn) Curtis was born on September 17, 1932 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Helen was a devoted Christian whose faith illuminated every aspect of her life. While she found joy in creating stained glass art, her true passion lay in gardening. She cherished nurturing her plants and flowers, and she took delight in designing beautiful fountains and walkways that transformed her gardens into serene retreats. A selfless soul, Helen always put the needs of others before her own. As a loving mother and grandmother, she touched the lives of many and will be profoundly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Sams; one son, John Sams; one daughter, Evelyn Phelps; and her parents.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Sharon and Thomas Bramley; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
