Helen Arlene Ledwell, age 64 of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017.
The daughter of John Russell Shea and Bridget Helen (Kelliher) Shea was born January 5, 1953 in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joshua Ledwell; and her sister, Maureen Murphy.
Helen was known as Grandma Hon to many people, as well as her grandchildren. She loved to cook for others and enjoyed seeing people happy. Helen loved to visit friends. She raised kids all her life and gave to others all she had to give. She had strong faith and lived a loving life with God and everyone that knew her. She moved from Whitman, Massachusetts to Jasper where she has lived for the past 9 years.
She is survived by her son, John Russell Parent; her daughter, Johanna Beth Parker; her brother John Shea; her sister, Janet LaCombe; and her grandchildren, Gabriel, Ryan and Joseph Faught.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jasper Special Services, 611 Clark ST., Jasper, AR 72641.
A memorial at Bradley Park will take place at a later date. Helen will be greatly missed by many.
