Helen Joyce Davis, age 83 of Harrison, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Hospice of the Hills in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of William G. and Esther (Stapleton) Callahan. Helen was born June 5, 1927 in Bellefonte, Arkansas.

She was a member of the Bellefonte Methodist Church since the age of 14. Being a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Helen was active and filled many roles in her local chapter Electa #25 of Bellefonte. She was an avid fan of Arkansas Razorbacks and the Oakland Raiders and enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing and gardening, especially flowers. She loved cooking and visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren--home and family were her passions.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lee; her sister, Anita Avery; and two brothers, James and Bill Callahan.

Helen is survived by her husband, Filmore Eugene "Gene" Davis of the home; sons, Mitchel and his wife Bernadine of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Keith and his wife Vicky of Vacaville, California; her sisters, Mona Sanders of Sarcoxie, Missouri and Sybil Flippo and husband Sam of Mid West City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service was Friday, December 31, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Pastor Mark Donald officiating. Visitation was Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial followed in Bellefonte Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
