Helen Bernice Burks, age 78 of Harrison, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, September 6, 2014.

The daughter of Jasper Newton Martin and Elsie Jane Waldon Martin was born August 25, 1936 in Mt. Hersey, Arkansas.

Helen attended the White Oak Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arlis Loy Burks; 7 brothers; and 6 sisters.

Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Arlis Eugene and Dixie Burks of Alpena, AR; her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Lee and Mark Ragsdale of Flippin, AR; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Raymond Morris of St. Joe, AR; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Funeral service was Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the funeral home with Brother Leo Dye and Reverend Clinton Reddell officiating. Burial followed in Western Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jamie Profitt, Marcus Ragsdale, Jeff Burris, Cody Burks, Matt Coffman, and Mead Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers were Mark Jones, Dr. Charles Klepper, Dusty Stanbrough, Eddie Reed, Mark Ragsdale, Fred Starnes, Justin Villines, Tim Martin, and Mike Nichols.
