Obituary
Harold Monroe Ricketts, age 94 of Mt. Judea, AR, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in Mt. Judea.
The son of Acie and Delphie (Collins) Ricketts was born October 12, 1923 in Pindall, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ellen Marie Johnson Ricketts; daughter, Janet Smith; one sister, Evie Louise VanMeter; five brothers, Dave, Rase, John, Mitchell, and Eugene Ricketts; a newborn son; a newborn grandson, Mathew Smith; and a great grandson, Zachary Smith.
Harold was a member of the Piercetown Holiness Church. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed going to church, camping, and traveling
He is survived by his five children, Elisha Hall of Western Grove, AR, Evelyn Shatwell (Billy) of Mt. Judea, AR, Robert Ricketts (Sherrie Wright) of Harrison, AR, Ervin Ricketts (Jeannie) of Harrison, AR , and Gloria Cooper (Chris) of Parthenon, AR.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danny Hall (Wendy), Crystal Heeter, Billy Shatwell Jr., Jonathan Shatwell, Patricia Royce, Jeremy Ricketts, Terry Ricketts, Kelly Vance, Shane Cooper, Sarah Cooper, and Joshua Smith, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Piercetown Holiness Church with Anthony Bower and Jim Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Hall, Billy Shatwell, Joshua Smith, Jeremy Ricketts, Jonathan Shatwell, and Shane Cooper. Honorary pallbearers are Legacy Hospice, Highland Court Nursing Home, and Area on Agency of Northwest Arkansas.
