Harley Linker, Sr., of Bergman, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at home at the age of 78.
The son of George and Goldie (Barnes) Linker was born December 26, 1938 at Russellville, Arkansas.
Harley had a great sense of humor and was a great joke teller. He loved old country music and old rock-n-roll. He was a self-taught guitarist and enjoyed wood working and was a general handyman.
He was a loving husband, father and papa, and loved fishing with his brother, Eugene. He was a great neighbor, when there was a need, he was always there to help.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Linker, his mother, Goldie Martin, siblings, William Eugene Linker, James Franklin "Buddy" Linker, Ruby A. Lawson, Inez Sweet, Frances Lawson and Georgia Irene "Winnie" Tucker.
Harley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Avis (Blackwell) Linker; three sons, Harley Linker, Jr., and wife Sherry; Mark Linker and wife Cathy, and Mike Linker all of Illinois; one daughter, Bonnie Linker of Illinois; five grandchildren, Allison, Ashley, Christopher, Megan and Brittany; five great grandchildren, Zarek, Vincenzo, Titus, Isabella and Asher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives who loved him and will miss him.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Pastor Heath Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Steven Bradshaw, Robert Gibson, Harley Linker, Jr., Mark Linker, Christopher Linker and Iverson Gibson.
