Obituary

Harlene Schellenberg, age 87 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Mount Vista Rehab and Health Center in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of Jess Dollar and Ella (Wilkens) Dollar was born on January 5, 1930 in Deer, Arkansas. She was a graduate of Deer High School, a housewife and had moved back to Newton County in 1999 from Virginia.

She was a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church in Jasper, Arkansas and the Highland Park Methodist Church in Topeka, Kansas. Harlene was always willing to help with many church activities anytime she was needed.

She always called her grandchildren her little dolls and they lovingly called her their "Lennie".

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Jack Edward Renne in 1982; six siblings, Lois Cowell, Raymond Dollar, Beulah Dollar, Lola Dollar, Bill Dollar and Geneva Davis.

Survivors are her husband, Paul Schellenberg, M.D. of Jasper, Arkansas; a son, Charles Raymond Renne and wife Mary Ellen of Arizona; a daughter, Marsha Koons of Warrensburg, Missouri; two bonus children, Ken Schellenberg of Virginia and Jenny Wilkerson of Virginia; her little dolls, Renne Wright, Anna and husband, Terry Hill and Micah Koons; two great-little dolls, Jaden and Mikayla; a sister, Leota Cowell of Topeka, Kansas and  many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Jasper United Methodist Church in Jasper, Arkansas with Pastor Larry
Acton officiating.
