Grant Weston Guinn Smith, age 36 of Harrison, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 21, 2007. The son of Richard Wayne Guinn and Christine Anne (Swanick) Smith, was born May 9, 1971 at Upland, California. He moved to this area at age 7. He was a gifted carpenter; self-employed.

Grant was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening and just being in the outdoors with his dog, Brendal. He was a loving husband, son, brother and a good friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; his grandparents, Iva and Warren Guinn, and Francis Xavier Swanick; His Uncle Tim and Aunt Myrna.

Surviving is his wife, Sarah (Goodall) Smith of the home; his mother, Christine Smith of Harrison; his brother, Zach Smith of Harrison; a grandmother, Dolores Duncan; an Aunt, Colleen; and his extended families, Swanick, Guinn, Hanson, and Smith.

Visitation was Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Coffman Funeral Home with memorial service Monday, June 25, 2007, at Gaither Mtn. Church of Christ. Charles Mallett officiated.

Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Horn, Zach Smith, Isaac Farmer and Charlie McCutcheon. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff at Cox South Hospital; Hospice of the Hills Nurses; and so many throughtout the community for their concern and care given to Grant during his illness.

Cremation and services have been handled by Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
