Clifford Grant Flood, 83 of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Meadow View of Harrisonville Health and Rehabilitation.

The son of Hoyle and Gladys (Kent) Flood was born at Vendor, Arkansas on December 7, 1934.  He enlisted in the US Army in 1957 and after being released to the Reserve, returned to marry Glinnia Jean McCutcheon June 29, 1960.

They moved to Kansas City where Grant worked for Maxwell and Wilkerson Construction for over 35 years in bridge construction until his retirement in 1997.  The attended Belton Church of Christ and moved to Harrisonville 20 years ago to remain close to their son.

Grant loved antiques, especially antique furniture and clocks.  He enjoyed working on and building clocks including grandfather clocks.  He loved reading about history.  He was a devoted and loving husband and father and a hard worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Flood and Clay Flood.

Grant is survived by his wife of 57 years, Glinnia Jean Flood of the home; his son, Jerry Flood of Raytown, Missouri; his sister, Mary Evelyn Middleton and husband Rex of Vendor, Arkansas; a nephew, Tim Middleton; 3 nieces, Mary Helen Flood, Suzanne Forest and Hessie Hankins; 5 great nephews, Colby, Hayden, Ben, Drew and Grady; 2 great nieces, LaRae and LaKen; a great-great nephew, Noah and a great-great niece, Ivory; all who loved him and will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 25, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow at Smith Cemetery in Vendor.  Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
