Goldie Mae Edgmon, age 77 of Low Gap, Arkansas passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at her home.
The daughter of David and Verdie (Bledsoe) Dyer was born January 5, 1937 in Lake City, Missouri.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mossville United Baptist Church for over fifty years. She was saved on June 1, 1963, joined the church July 6, 1963 and baptized August 4, 1963 by Brother Clayton Rylee.
Goldie Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.E. Edgmon; an infant daughter, Judy Kay Edgmon; a son, Kevin Edgmon; a daughter, Gaylene Holt; two brothers, Joey Dyer and Charles Ray Dyer; two half brothers, Bob Dyer and Jim Dyer; and an infant granddaughter, Jessica Hampton.
Survivors are three sons, David Edgmon and Marty Edgmon both of Mossville and Kendall Edgmon of Low Gap; three daughters, Virdia Hampton and Michele Fierro both of Low Gap and Vicki Nelson of Springdale; three brothers, Paul Dyer, Genie Dyer and Tony Dyer; a half brother, John Dyer; two sisters, Mary Helen Welch and Barbara Sue Wehrli; eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Also many nephews, nieces and other family and friends.
Funeral services were Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Mossville United Baptist Church with Brother Bobby Young and Brother Dorlin Sparks officiating. Burial followed in the Mossville Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers were Bradley Cline, Jon David Nelson, Douglas Edgmon, Brandon Hampton, Jerry Hampton, Kylan Fierro, Evan Gibbins, Kevin Gibbins, Justin Klatt and Jarod Klatt. Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson.
