Gloria J. Taylor, age 74 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away at home on Friday, December 24, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.

The daughter of Carl Otis Earl and Georgia Mildred (Odum) Earl was born July 18, 1947, in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Harrison 31 years ago from Duncanville, Texas and was a member of Pentecostal Tabernacle.  She had worked at Fed-Ex for over 20 years in Accounts Payable and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Gloria loved the Lord, reading her Bible, listening to gospel music and watching church every Sunday morning.  She loved her family, especially having get-togethers and taking family trips. She enjoyed playing games, especially Liverpool/Rummy and putting puzzles together.  She also loved sewing, especially double-knit, plaid, polyester play clothes for her kids. Gloria enjoyed cooking and was well known for her "experimental casseroles".

She was a loving and amazing woman who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Otis Earl; a sister, Carol Lynn Kelley; two brothers, Michael Wayne Earl and Stephen Otis Earl and an infant daughter, Tracy Denise Taylor.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Leo Jacob Taylor, Jr.; her mother, Georgia Mildred Earl; three children, Jeffery Lee Taylor (Margarita), Gary Edward Taylor (Toye) and Laura Michelle Taylor (Guy Conti IV); eight grandchildren, Crista (Brock), Rachel (David), Amanda (Justin), Olivia, Jennifer, Storm, Tracylin (Christian) and Kirsten; nine great grandchildren, Conner, Kendalyn, Curtis, Maria, Tristen, Ava, Callie, Astrid and R.J. and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Shekels officiating.  Burial will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 PM – 8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jeff Taylor, Gary Taylor, Storm Taylor, Josh Earl, Stacey Kelley and Bryan Earl.

Honorary pallbearers are Christian Greenwood, Blake Gillam, Tristen McFarland, Jason Earl and Brock McFarland.
