Glenn Everett Baughman passed away on Tuesday, July 2 (2024) at Hospice of the Hills. He was 87 years old.

The son of Arlus Matthew and Virgie Walters (Murphy) Baughman was born on August 2, 1936, in Harrison, Arkansas. Glenn was a 1954 graduate of Harrison High School. He married Carol Erna Wienert on October 12, 1956.

He joined MMI-Mass Merchandiser (previously Sav-A-Stop) in 1954. He worked as a supervisor in several areas, and he later became Warehouse Supervisor in 1982. He also traveled to many states and organized new warehouses until his retirement from Mass Merchandiser/McKesson in 1993.

Outside of his work at MMI, he worked at Land Handlers Realty. He co-owned W.E.E. Discount Center on the square in Downtown Harrison. Glenn was a longtime bowler and joined a team in the mid 70's and they were in many championship tournaments across many states until 1995.

After retirement, he became interested in family genealogy. He traced ancestors back to 1623 with the help of family, especially his cousin, LaVonna Woods. He also organized several Baughman Family Reunions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 66 years, Carol Baughman on July 26, 2023; and two brothers, Roy Dean Baughman and Clifford Baughman.

Glenn is survived by his daughter Kim (Darell) Brooks; a brother, Lee Baughman; sisters, Duveen Norton and Karen Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers at Hospice of the Hills for their care the last five months; and also The McClintock Clinic (previously The Leslie Clinic) for many years of care.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Glenn and Carol will be held on Friday, July 26 (2024) at 2 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 PM.
