Glenn E. Alexander, age 84 of Harrison, passed from this life Thursday, February 5, 2009 at his home.
The son of Nellie and J.W. Alexander, he was born March 27, 1924 in Pollock, Missouri. His parents, thee brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
He is survived by Valeta, his wife of 60 years; three sons and two daughters; Terry and Paula of Columbia, Missouri, Keith and Sherry of Lead Hill, J. B. and Reina of Harrison, Alona of Grapevine, Texas, and Sarah of Harrison. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Melinda, Melissa, Scott, Todd, Eva Bailey, and Angie; two great grandchildren, Alexis and Malachi, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Glenn served his country in World War II as a member of the Army Air Corp. After moving to Harrison in 1950, he started working as a body repairman for 17 years. He taught at Twin Lakes Vocational School for seven years as Auto Body Repair Instructor.
He became a Christian at the age of 56 and is a member of the Crossroads Community Church.
Visitation was at Coffman Funeral Home Sat., Feb. 7th. Services were Monday, Feb. 9th, at Crossroads Community Church with Bro. Mike Moore officiating. Burial was in York Cemetery at Bergman.
Pallbearers were Gary Villines, Lynn Villines, Danny Villines, Randy Newman, Clifford Beaver, and Dean Jernagon. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Gibbins and Tommy Morrison.
