Glenda Faye Gilliam peacefully passed away surrouned by family on February 25, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Glenda was born February 23, 1941 in Caraway, Arkansas a daughter of George and Irene (Doris) Burleson.

She was a member of Dominion Life Church and was a home health caregiver for the Area Agency.

Her parents preceded her in death along with a niece, Linda Jean Tumbleson.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Earl Gilliam of the home. To this marriage were born, Larry Gilliam and wife, Janice of Harrison, David Gilliam and wife, De Ann of Marble Falls, Rhonda Gilliam of Bolivar, Missouri, and Tina Dobbins (Dean Matthews) of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren, Angel Dawn Gilliam, Tiffany Alge (Charles), Rebekah Gross (John), Hannah Metcalf, Stephanie Dobbins, and Nathan Metcalf; six great-grandchildren, Sean Gross, Dayzi Belle Gilliam, Evan Gross, Izayah Alge, Makyla Dobbins, and Westyn Alge.

Other survivors include her brothers and sisters, James Doris of Harrison, twin sister, Linda Green of Harrison, and Wanda Woodley (Jerry), Pat Williams, Donnie Burieson, Ronnie Burleson (Ronda) all of Michigan, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, sisters-in-law, and her "brothers and sisters" of Dominion Life Church.

Visitation was Monday, February 28, 2011 with the service Tuesday, March 1, 2011 both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Rev. Coma Rivers officiating.

Burial followed in York Cemetery with pallbearers being Larry Gilliam, David Gilliam, Dean Matthews, Nathan Metcalf, Charles Alge, James Sheridan, and Doyle Burnett.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Corey Jackson and staff, the staff of Legacy Hospice, and Dr. Lynette Johnson.
