Glen Roger Robinson, age 91 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of Esco S. and Pearl (Gregory) Robinson was born January 22, 1918 at St. Paul, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ruby Robinson; a son, Steve Robinson; a daughter, Mary Aileen Robinson; and sisters, Glenna Vanhooser and Pearl Dobbins.
Glen had served in the U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and the Air Corp during WWII and the Korean War, retiring after 20 years. He was also an English Teacher while living in Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jasper serving as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Gideon Society where he was a Chaplain.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Louise (Trent) Robinson of the home; son, David Robinson of Austin, Texas; brothers, Kenneth Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Robert Robinson of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; sister, Wilma Dean Wilson of Grand Prairie, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Graveside service was Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Watts Cemetery in Watts, Oklahoma. Pastors Manuel Macks and Shawn Allred officiated.
Pallbearers were David G. Robinson, Robert E. Robinson, Barry R. Weaver, Fred Bell, Shannon Willis, and Michael Gregory.
