Glen Collins, age 65 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008 at his home.

He was born October 1, 1943 at Vendor, Arkansas the son of Jim and Ola (Royce) Collins.

Glen had worked for Newton County Road Department and was also self employed in the construction business.

He was of the Pentecostal faith and had been a lifetime resident of Newton County. He enjoyed his grandchildren, children, camping, barbecuing, and spending time with his brothers.

Glen and his wife have raised their grandchildren, Cody, Anissa, Trently and Tesslie for the last six years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Glenda Sue Collins; two brothers, Devoe and Esker Collins and a sister, Louise Greenhaw.

Survivors are his wife, Kathern (Martin) Collins of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Joe Ricketts of Vendor; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Denver and Mary Collins, Dennis and Eunice Collins and Joe Wayne and Brenda Collins all of Jasper; three grandsons, Cody Morgan, Trently Newman and Nicholas Ricketts; five grandaughters, Misty Ricketts, Kimberly Rhoades, Tiffany Campbell, Anissa Newman and Tesslie Newman; six great grandsons, Brayden, Bailey, Brody, Dominick, Mason and Landen; three gret granddaughters, Tristan, Skylar, and Kaelyn; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Monday, October 27, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Services were Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Piercetown Holiness Church with Bro. Charles Christian officiating. Burial followed in Carver Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Floyd Morgan, Alton Stuart, John Stuart, Gary Reddell, Keltner Riddell and Kenneth Royce. Honorary pallbearers were Cody Morgan, Trently Newman, Nicholas Ricketts, Joe Ricketts, Jody Collins, Anna Collins, Craig Collins and Hospice of the Hills Staff.
