Obituary

Glen Howard Coffman, age 66, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, on Friday, May 29, 2026 surrounded by his family.

The son of Harold and Imalou (Smith) Coffman was born in Harrison, Arkansas on October 18, 1959. He married the love of his life, Brenda (Rogers) Coffman in 1986 and they would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this fall.

Glen was a lifelong resident of Boone County, and his father opened Harold’s Super Service (Harold’s Apco) in 1969, firmly establishing the Coffman name in Harrison’s history. Glen’s long career with Harold’s Super Service began at age 12, where he developed a love of tow trucks and wreckers, particularly their 1978 model. He loved the challenge of getting a complex tow accomplished. Glen continued to be active with the service station until he finally retired just last year at age 65.

He also enjoyed gardening, camping, drawing, and woodworking. His greatest joy was spending time with his kids and grandkids. Glen was dedicated and passionate about his family and the service station. He was also known to be caring, thoughtful, loving – but a smart aleck would emerge from time to time, reminding you quickly that he had a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around. Glen was a one-of-a-kind, that was loved by his family and respected by his friends and the community. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sarah Rosetta Coffman; a sister, Virginia Meredith; a brother, Wayne Coffman; his in-laws, Arthur and Mary Rogers; brother-in-law, Rick Rogers; and 2 grandchildren.

Glen is survived by his wife of 39 years; Brenda Coffman; three sons, Glen Coffman Jr., (fiancée Sissy Savage), Matthew Coffman, and Derick Coffman and wife Heather; two daughters, Keara Groves and husband Zachery and Glenda Coffman; two brothers, Donald Coffman, Justin Coffman and wife Mary Jo; two sisters, Patsy Hardy and husband Melvin and Deanna Campbell and husband Tim; 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; his best dog, Lady; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 3 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Bro. David Shekels officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Glenda Coffman, Matthew Coffman, Derick Coffman, Glen Coffman, Jr., Isaac Briley, Keegan Coffman, Zachery Groves, and John Hardy.
