Obituary

Gladys Marie Eddings, 70, a resident of St. Joe, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Highland Court Nursing Home in Marshall, Arkansas.

She was born April 22, 1947, at St. Joe, Arkansas, the daughter of Fred & Roxie Daniel and raised in Searcy County.

Gladys loved going to church and living her life for God. Her love for Him shined all around her.  Along with being a very hard worker, she loved more than anything the time spent with family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  Spoiling her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and gardening being among some of her favorite hobbies. If at any point you ever visited their home, you knew that she would always make you feel right at home.

She was known to be a very hardworking lady as well as an employee of White Rogers in Harrison for over 19 years; in addition to White Rogers where she retired in 2003, she frequented many other jobs throughout her career.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Pamela Hathaway, three brothers James, Don, and Jerry Daniel, and one infant sister Nancy Jane Daniel.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Roy Eddings, also of Highland Court Nursing Home; two daughters, Katrina Scott and husband Thomas of St. Joe, and Susan Kramer and husband James of Greenbrier, Arkansas; six grandchildren, William Hendrix and wife Tina, Zandy Hathaway and fiance Jenell, Amber Tinsley and husband Austin, Whitney Govia and husband Tyler, Rusty Scott, Samantha Kramer; 4 great grandchildren, Melony, Roran, Anson, Jaxin, with one on the way, Ember Kellie Govia; and two brothers, William Gene Smith and wife Ruth of Yellville, and Marion Lee Daniel of Harrison.

Gladys will certainly be missed by many, and throughout this time of loss, we have to remember what an angel heaven has gained.
