Obituary
Ginger Sue Carney, age 59 of Deer, AR passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at her home.
She was born July 25, 1946 at Harrison, the daughter of Walter Flippo and Gladys (Farmer) Shatwell. She was a homemaker and had lived most of her life in Newton County.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Teresa Williams; brothers, Henry and Roy Flippo; and sisters, Bobbie Marie Flippo and Joann Wallace.
Ginger's survivors include her husband, James Carney of Deer, to whom she married May 26, 2001 at Lurton, AR; children, Wonona Brown of Deer, Christy Norvell of Peoria, IL, Stephanie Woods of London, Michael Carney of San Francisco, CA, Jamie Carney of Rogers, and Amanda Holman of Lamar; sisters, Debra Yarber of Dover and Iva Wagler of Pelsor; seventeen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; seven nephews; and nine nieces.
Funeral services for Ginger were 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 24 at Nail Church with Bro. Bobby Young officiating. Burial followed the service at Nail Cemetery with pallbearers being David Wagler, Keith yarber, Kenny Yarber, Charlie Yarber, Gary Carney, and Terry Carney. Honorary pallbearers were Shawn Yarber, Allen Flippo, Wesley Martin, and Jayson Flud.
There was no visitation. Arrangements are by Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
