Obituary
Gilbert J. Still, Jr., age 79 of Harrison, AR, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison.
The son of Gilbert J. Still, Sr. and Beulah (Mears) Still, he was born August 27, 1928 at Marshall, AR.
He has lived in this area since 1972, moving from Marshall. He attended the Assembly of God Church. He and his wife Ruth I. (Kyle) Still would have been celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary this October.
Mr. Still loved to make music and play the guitar and also enjoyed trading old cars.
His parents preceded him in death, along with brothers, Dale and Bennie Still, and LaVern Still, and sisters, Sylvia Hursh and Madge Powers.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth Still, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Scott Neider of Dillon, MT and Sharon and Jack Howard of Harrison; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Susan Still of Harrison, Rick and Brenda Still of Everton, and Darrell and Patricia Still of Harrison; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Rudy Cook of Gentry, AR; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home. Service 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Coffman Chapel with Rev. Rex Middleton officiating.
Burial will follow at Stills Cemetery near St. Joe.
Pallbearers are Scott Neider, Jack Howard, Bobby Ray Still, Joshua Still, John Reichter, and Josh Magness. Honorary pallbearers are Jeffrey Howard, Dr. Kim Chapman and staff, and the Hospice House staff.
