Gertrude Ramer, of Branson, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Shepherd of the Hills Living Center at the age of 82.
The daughter of Peter and Frieda DeMuth was born September 1, 1936 at Brenham, Texas. After high school, she attended Rio Grande Bible Institute then transferred to Ozark Bible Institute in Arkansas, where she met and married the love of her life, Samuel Ramer on July 26, 1957. She and Sam settled in Arkansas where she lived most of her life until moving to Branson with her daughter 7 years ago.
Gertrude enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing and reading. She loved teaching Bible School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lead Hill. She looked forward to playing board games with her daughter, Rebecca. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Samuel Ramer and three brothers, Harvey Luedemann, Peter DeMuth, Jr., and David Demuth and a great grandson, Karter Colt Cooper.
Gertrude is survived by her children, Deborah Post and husband Ken of Hutto, Texas, Rebecca Ramer of Branson, Missouri and Mark Ramer and wife Emma of Harrison; a brother, Larry DeMuth and a sister, Gloria Rippenhagen and husband Bobby all of Brenham, Texas; five grandchildren, Matthew Post, Nathan Post, Lydia Cooper, Sarah Williams and Joseph Ramer; four great grandchildren, Cash Clouse, Draven Post, Shiloh Cooper and Miles Cooper and a great granddaughter on the way, Rory Drew; three sisters-in-law, Sue Luedemann, Bonnie DeMuth and Becky DeMuth, all of Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with graveside services immediately following at Milum Cemetery in Lead Hill. Pastor Rodney Stromlund will officiate.
Pallbearers were Mark Ramer, Jason Cooper, Riley Williams and Joseph Ramer. Honorary pallbearers were the nurses and aides of the Shepherd of the Hills Living Center in Branson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to your local hospice of choice or to Gideon's International, PO Box 997, Harrison, AR, 72602.
