Obituary
Gertie Sue Bryant, age 93 of Mt. Judea, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper.
She was born April 17, 1921 at Mt. Judea, Arkansas to the late Joe and Rosie (Hefley) Holt.
Gertie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.L. Bryant; two sons, Garland Lee and Marvin Eugene; four brothers, Dennis, Arnold, John Paul and Joe Tinley; three sisters, Eltra Winstead, Jessie George and Dennie Dodson.
She is survived by one son, Murl Lewis and wife, Beverly of Mt. Judea; one daughter-in-law, Pamela (Neil) Bryant and her three children; one brother, Jimmy and wife, Helen; one sister-in-law, Marie Holt; five grandchildren, Jacque Mateo, Jason Bryant, Stephen Bryant and their mother, Jerlene Bryant; Sandra Bryant and Melinda Cook; five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Madison and Wyatt Bryant and Jayden and Cassey Cook.
Services was Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Mt. Judea Church of Christ with Bro. Devoe Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Judea Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers were Jason Bryant, Wyatt Bryant, Craig Cook, Charles Campbell, Clayel Criner and Sandra Bryant. Honorary pallbearers were the staff at Newton County Nursing Home.
