Gerald Roy Whittenburg, age 75 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday March 5, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri.

The son of Roy and Ida Mae (Daniels) Whittenburg was born on April 13, 1944 in Palm Springs, California.  He moved to Harrison 40 years ago from Gentry, Arkansas.

Gerald was employed at Tyson for the past 20 years.  He was a hard worker, if he wasn't at work, he was working at home.  He loved to work on old lawnmowers, tillers and weed eaters.  He would rebuild and repair engines.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 55 years, Annie Whittenburg; his daughter, Lori Whittenburg and husband Joshua Guido and his granddaughter, Julie Treat; his brother Jim Whittenburg, several extended family and his work family at Tyson.

Funeral services will be held Monday March 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison.  Burial will follow in Eoff Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.  Services will be officiated by Heath Kirkpatrick.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are his Tyson Co-workers.
