Gerald "Jay" Edward Waters, age 59 of Harrison, Arkansas, won his fight against cancer and went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2020.

Jay was born in New York on December 15, 1960, to Gerald Waters, Sr., and Thelma (Hull) Waters.  He moved to Harrison in 1993, where he remained until his passing.

He will be remembered as a wonderful father and an even better papaw to his grandchildren. Jay was known for his love of baseball and was a die hard New York Yankees fan.  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Jay was an honest, caring and hardworking man.  He was hard headed and you could always count on him to give his honest opinion.  He was the type of friend everyone wished they had.  His family and friends will miss his care-free attitude and hilarious personality.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jay is survived by his daughter, Tava Thompson and husband Jacob Thompson of Harrison, Arkansas and his son, Jayden Waters of New York; his step-children, Angela Douglas and C.J. Daigneault, both of Harrison and Denielle Wescott of New York; his siblings, Johnny Waters and Amy Waters both of New York and several loving grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life at his daughter, Tava's home at a later date.
