Russell
February 12, 1938 – February 21, 2020
Gerald Wayne Russell, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the age of 82.
The son of Orval and Nora (Smith) Russell was born at Fair Oaks, Arkansas on February 12, 1938. He moved to Harrison from Fair Oaks in 1966 and attended church at Ironstob Chapel.
Gerald was a hard worker. In his early years, he worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis and he also owned a service station in Fair Oaks. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner.
Gerald loved the Lord and he loved his family. He was a good, kind husband, father, grandfather and friend. Known for his "ground-breaking" sense of humor, he was famous for pranks and practical jokes, especially on his co-workers at the courthouse. He enjoyed woodworking, woodcarving, cooking and grilling. He also loved to go fishing and have get-togethers with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeff Russell, two brothers, Buddy Russell, Bert Russell and a sister, Gloria Ordelheide.
