Georgie Mae Fanning Epner, 93 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Harrison Rehab and Nursing Center.
The daughter of George and Maggie (Harmon) Lowery was born September 25, 1924 at Greenville, Mississippi.
She worked at Hugh's Aircraft in California as a Dispatcher for 29 years and moved to Arkansas in 1993. Georgie was a dedicated Christian and loved the Lord. She enjoyed baking and crocheting. In her younger years, she loved to water ski and taught the whole family how to ski. "Grandma" to all who knew her, she was loved by all and had a hand in raising most of her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar "O.L." Fanning, her second husband, John Epner, her sons, Richard Fanning and Larry Fanning; a granddaughter, Heather Fanning, a great granddaughter, Chantay Fanning and a sister, Blanche Schuerings.
Georgie is survived by six grandchildren, Deanna Sutton and husband Rick of AR, Dawn Davidson of CA, Stephen Fanning of CO, Michael Fanning and wife Janet of CA, Jason Fanning and wife Elizabeth of CO and Sheila Mullins and husband Kerry of TX; seven great grandchildren, Matthew Twamley, Kayla Bell, Nikolas Rose, Brianna Mathis, Dakota Fanning, Shane Fanning and Chase Fanning; eight great-great grandchildren, Audrey and Jordan Twamley, London and Olivia Bell, Kylin and Hunter Mathis and Madison and Silas Eastep; two daughters-in-law, Aleta Fanning and Linda Fanning and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her and will miss her.
