Obituary

Georgia Wanell (Milam) Homan, age 72 of Harrison, Arkansas passed through Heaven's Gates Monday, September 9, 2013. She was surrounded by her dear husband and family in her home.

Georgia was a life long resident of Boone and Searcy Counties. Yet enjoyed a time period earlier in life in Kankakee, Illinois for 15 years, where she had began to raise her two children in the area where their Paternal relatives reside; always able to visit and have fun with her in-laws.

Georgia was a homemaker most of her life, she worked outside the home off and on as a cleaning person for businesses, which she enjoyed. The true love of her past time was traveling. She and her husband, Arthur shared the love of traveling and did enjoy many days and hours traveling the United States. She also cherished her two children, 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was so proud of each and every one of them. Georgia's best little companion was her dog "Fluffy", she gave Fluffy so much affection and Fluffy always gave back.
Georgia's one of a kind, generous, devoted, loving husband, Arthur cared for her continuously during her very long illness, she was so grateful to him and loved him dearly.

Georgia Wanell Milam-Homan was the daughter of the late Monroe and Maybell Milam of Valley Springs, Arkansas. She was born January 31, 1941 in Searcy County, Arkansas.

Georgia attended White Oak Full Gospel Church and was a Christian who loved and served the Lord.

Georgia was also preceded in death by one brother, Alfred C. Milam; one sister, Nellie M. Milam; a niece, Margie Elaine Arter; as well as a nephew, Elvis James Milam.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur S. Homan; her son, Dennis R. Sain and wife, Carol; her daughter, Karen S. Hester and husband, Tim all of Springfield, Missouri; three brothers, Ben C. Milam and wife, Marlene, Paul B. Milam and wife, Verna Jean all of Valley Springs, Arkansas and Donald W. Milam and wife, Laurie of Cardiff, Wales, U.K.; two sisters, Wanda E. McCutcheon of Richland, Arkansas and Barbara G. Horn of Bruno-Pyatt, Arkansas; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by seven step-children, Dorothy Krumhout and husband, Garrett of Harmon, Arkansas, Arthur Homan, Jr. and wife, Melisa, John Homan and wife, Doris, Michael Homan and his sons, Anthony Homan and his children all of Florida, Carl David McCutcheon and wife, Darlene of Mt. Judea, Arkansas, and Glena Jean Flood and husband, Grant of Kansas.

Georgia will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. She delighted in visiting and spending time with family and friends and she prayed for each of them daily.

Visitation was Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Service was Friday, September 13, 2013 at Capps Full Gospel Church with Leo Dye officiating.

Burial followed in McCutcheon Cemetery at Bass, Arkansas with pallbearers being Brandon M. Biggs, James S. Kerr, Joseph S. Kerr, Johnny L. Horn, Bobby C. Horn, William A. McCutcheon, Billy D. Horn, and Derick S. Hensley.

Honorary pallbearers were Dennis R. Sain, Denny R. Sain, Justin L. Sain, Cheryl L. Franks, and Shannon E. Bolander.
